Support The Meistersingers' Tradition of Excellence

Twenty-five years ago a group of local music lovers started a community organization committed to offering the Pine Belt high-quality, independently produced music, and The Meistersingers Civic Chorus began the Hattiesburg Concert Association.

MeisterSinger is translated as Master Singer, and our Meistersingers Civic Chorus has been offering masterful programming for more than 25 years. Named for the musicians of the 14th, 15th, and 16th centuries, our civic chorus draws on the centuries of musical history and writes its own history of Hattiesburg.

Did you know:

  • The Meistersingers includes professionals AND amateurs, creating a partnership that enriches the community,
  • The Meistersingers' name is dedicated to the Hattiesburg High School Choir of the same name, in which several of the founding members sang,
  • The Meistersingers have performed every year for FestivalSouth, its sister project, since its founding in 2010,
  • The Meistersingers have performed in David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center, New York, and in London's Cadogan Hall with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

All of this is made possible with generous contributions from donors.

More than 90% of the Meistersingers' annual budget relies on donations because almost all of their concerts are FREE.

We hope you will give today to support this great project for 25 more years.
