Twenty-seven years ago, a group of local music lovers started a community organization committed to offering high-quality, independently produced music to the Pine Belt. This artistic endeavor, known as The Meistersingers Civic Chorus, directly created the nonprofit organization which was then known as the Hattiesburg Civic Chorus and Concert Association (HCCCA).
In 2009, FestivalSouth was just a dream - a dream, both for our community and our performing artists. to create a series of chamber music events during the month of June. Fifteen years later, this ambition has surpassed our initial vision and has grown into the largest project of the renamed Hattiesburg Concert Association (HCA).
